DC Solar is a rapidly growing solar company, and is currently seeking motivated and enthusiastic Solar Installers and Solar Electricians for our operations in the Grass Valley, Auburn, Rocklin, Lincoln area.  DC Solar mostly installs solar systems in Nevada, Placer, Yuba & Sutter Counties and has offices in Roseville and Penn Valley, CA. The Installer and Electrician install all photovoltaic system components and electrical equipment, ensure successful operation of complete photovoltaic system, and communicate project status with Project Managers and Construction Managers.

Minimum of 1-year experience installing solar, in addition to electrical and/or roofing experience.   

You must have the ability to lift 40 pounds occasionally throughout the day.
Ability to work safely with heights on ladders and in confined areas.
Ability to drive company vehicle to and from jobs safely, as required.
Experience complying with OHSA safety requirements and regulations.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
High school diploma or equivalent .

Ability to work well in a team based environment.
Ability to work safely on a roof.
Ability to efficiently and effectively troubleshoot issues.
Ability to correctly and efficiently install company products.
Strong work ethic, and excellent communication and documentation skills.
Self-motivated with an attention to productivity, detail, and safety.
Skilled in the use of power and hand tools and provide training in the safe operation of power and hand tools to others.

Installation of Solar Photovoltaic (PV) systems on roof tops, ground, and mounted carports according to design.
Penetrating, attaching, sealing into a variety of buildings and variety of roofing materials.
Installing module racking, wire runs, conduits, inverters, disconnects, and other equipment.
Collect data and photos during and at the end of each project.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Comply with required training and fulfillment of assigned duties.
Maintain a clean driving record.
Complete projects within established policies and procedures.
Complete projects within strict timeframes and allowed budgets.
Maintain high levels of quality assurance and quality control with an emphasis on crew safety.
Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions and operational issues.
Communicate with customers in a professional, considerate, and respectful manner, answering all questions and complaints to the best of your ability.

Our Solar Consultant/Business Development Manager:

  • Manages the business development activities for designated clients and/or regions with focus on consulting and financial savings while helping the environment.
  • Identifies and screens opportunities according to annual business plans.
  • Provides proposals and financial savings analysis to clients.
  • Possesses ability to develop and prepare opportunity specific presentations.
  • Partners with Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC), and administrative staff on deliverables.
  • Manages the qualification and proposal processes.
  • Develops sales strategies and business plans on a team based client development approach.
  • Coordinates technical, engineering, and construction support during all phases of client development.
  • Monitors and continues involvement with the client during and after project execution.
  • Leads proposal generation efforts for large, technically complex projects and develops winning acquisition strategies.
  • Negotiates contracts and develops profit driven pricing plans.
  • Is an active member of Chambers of Commerce and Contractors Associations on behalf of DC Solar Electric Inc.
  • Sits on committees for local Chambers of Commerce and Contractors Associations on behalf of DC Solar Electric Inc.
  • Joins business networking groups on behalf of DC Solar Electric Inc.
  • Organizes and presents monthly community based informational seminars for potential clients.
  • Provides content for Social Media on behalf of DC Solar Electric Inc.
  • Manages home shows, farmers markets, fairs, etc… on behalf of DC Solar Electric Inc.
  • Makes cold calls to potential commercial and residential customers.
  • Delivers promotional materials to prospective and existing clients.


  • BA/BS Degree in applicable field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
  • Exposure to Construction, Solar, HVAC, Plumbing, or Electrical fields.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Valid CA driver’s license.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background check & pre-employ drug test.
