The clock is ticking, Don't miss this opportunity to save big on solar energy!

Act fast and lock in your savings with NEM 2.0 before it's replaced with NEM 3.0, and we say goodbye to these solar savings forever!

The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) has recently passed changes that will drastically affect savings for new solar customers. The new regulation, called the Net Billing Tariff (NBT), is set to go into effect on April 13th, 2023 and will change the way you are credited for the excess energy produced by your solar power system. Under NEM 3.0 (Net Energy Metering) new solar customers will receive 75% less compensation for the power they generate.

Under the current Net Energy Metering (NEM) 2.0 structure, you receive a fair tradeoff with utilities if you create excess energy with your residential or commercial solar power system. But with the new structure, solar providers predict that the time it will take new solar customers to pay off their new system will more than double. Paying off a full system is estimated to take 9-12 years, compared to the current 5-7 year plan, and will also include new monthly bills and yearly fees.

But It’s Not too late. You can still lock in your savings with NEM 2.0 before the proposed changes take effect.

New solar customers have until April 13, 2023, to lock in the NEM 2.0 rate. Submit your interconnection application with DC Solar now and take control of your energy costs. NEM 2.0 is your chance to save big on energy bills and make the most of your investment.

Don't let the California Public Utilities Commission take away your solar savings. Contact us today to learn more about how you can lock in NEM 2.0 for the next 20 years.
