Project Manager
Responsibilities:
- Be the liaison between Sales, Design and Construction teams.
- Oversee design and accuracy of drawings/specifications.
- Issue change orders.
- Create material lists and place purchase order requisitions.
- Order equipment from distribution centers required for the project.
- Acquire permits from all jurisdictional entities.
- Assemble paperwork/data needed to complete NEM applications.
- Create and maintain effective, and realistic construction timeline.
- Organize and prioritize workload to be completed at each phase in the timeline.
- Chair a joint project kick-off meeting for Commercial accounts with Sales and Client.
- Coordinate work schedule with sub-contractors.
- Set up final inspections with client and respective authorities.
- Build arrays in respective solar monitoring platforms.
- Have package-ready plans/affidavits/relevant documents for Construction crews.
- Communicate and work closely with customers, vendors, and installers to keep them informed on project status.
- Coordinate assembling and staging materials for each project.
- Schedule disconnects/re-connects with Utility companies.
Education, Experience/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum five (5) years relevant experience in residential/commercial construction; solar experience a plus.
- Five (5) years project management experience.
- Knowledgeable of residential/commercial buildings design and materials.
- Clean DMV record.
- Reliable transportation for driving within State of California.
This is a full-time position, in-office every day at our Colfax office. This is not a hybrid or remote role. We do not pay for relocation.
Compensation: Competitive wages paid based on experience.

As a Service Coordinator, you will:
- Respond to and resolve troubleshooting requests, schedule field technicians to the job
site, coordinate billing for work and warranty service claims, and handle Return
Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs). - Provide over-the-phone technical support for a variety of solar PV inverters as well as
battery and generator backup systems for customers who do not require on-site service.
Experience/Qualifications:
- Solar industry knowledge a plus.
- Coordinating electrical, construction, and/or networking projects a plus.
- Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM preferred.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize time and perform duties efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Self-motivated team player who takes initiative to solve problems and implement solutions.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Experience diagnosing inverter and solar energy system issues is a key skill.

SOLAR INSTALLER
DC Solar Electric, Inc., a Division of the Stevens Family Companies, has an opportunity for a Solar Installer. Our Solar Installer job will offer you an exciting opportunity to help provide a clean, safe, and reliable source of Electric Power to light, cool/heat homes and schools, run factories, and provide goods and services that we all depend upon. The Solar Installer installs all photovoltaic system components and electrical equipment, ensures successful operation of a complete photovoltaic system and communicates routinely with Project Manager and Construction Manager.
Qualifications:
- MUST HAVE: California Electrician Trainee Certification from accredited school, or be willing/committed to attend an apprenticeship program to obtain CET certification.
- Minimum of 1 year experience installing solar in addition to electrical and roofing experience.
- Familiar with OHSA safety requirements and regulations.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Work well in a team environment.
- Safety conscious when working on a roof, ladder heights or in a confined area.
- Can troubleshoot issues efficiently and effectively.
- A strong work ethic, excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Attention to detail and productivity.
- Skilled in the use of power and hand tools and can provide training to others in its operation.

Installation of Solar Photovoltaic (PV) systems on roof tops, ground, and mounted carports according to design.

Penetrating, attaching, sealing into a variety of buildings and variety of roofing materials.

Installing module racking, wire runs, conduits, inverters, disconnects, Battery Electrical Storage Systems and other equipment.

Collect data and photos during and at the end of each project.

Comply with required training and fulfillment of assigned duties.

Lead Solar Installer / Journeyman Electrician
DC Solar Electric Inc., a Division of the Stevens Family Companies has an opportunity for a Lead Solar Installer/Journeyman Electrician. This position offers you an exciting opportunity to help provide a clean, safe, and reliable source of Electric Power to light, cool/heat homes and schools, run factories, and provide goods and services that we all depend upon. This position will report to the President of Construction and will require a high degree of professionalism/client interaction.
The Lead Installer/Journeyman Electrician will:
Be responsible for managing and installing the photovoltaic system from beginning to end through coordination with the project manager and working side by side with team members.
Complete the project with the highest level of safety, quality, efficiency, and conformance to the approved plans and specifications.
Qualifications:
- Mechanically minded individual able to work in the field installing residential and/or commercial grid-tied photovoltaic (PV) systems.
- Minimum 3 years of previous solar installation experienced required (applicants without solar or extensive electrical experience will not be accepted).
- Experience installing both roof and ground mount systems.
- Experience with micro and string inverters as well as setting up monitoring systems.
- NABCEP Certifications a plus.
- Journeyman Electrician Certification in the State of California (requirement).
- General construction knowledge including roofing, electrical, and carpentry skills.
- Experience with electrical work involving up to 600 VDC and 480 VAC.
- Working knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC), Uniform Building Code (UBC), local & utility jurisdiction requirements.
- Experience complying with OHSA safety requirements and regulations.
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
Skills Required:
- Work well in a team-based environment.
