SOLAR CONSULTANT/BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Responsibilities

  • Manages the business development activities for designated clients and/or regions with focus on consulting and financial savings while helping the environment.
  • Identifies and screens opportunities according to annual business plans.

ENERGY REBATE and INTERCONNECTION SPECIALIST

Responsibilities - Rebate

  • Complete documentation and submit applications on behalf of customers for rebate and/or incentive programs
  • Accurately translate data from customer documents into electronic forms
  • Call and email clients communicating status updates and requesting additional data as needed
  • Provide periodic updates/reports to management

Responsibilities - Interconnection/NEM (Net Energy Metering)

  • Create/review/submit interconnection application (NEM) on behalf of client to Utility company, managing the approvals process through to PTO (Permission to Operate)
  • Responsive email communications with Utility interconnection teams ensuring that all required documents are complete and accurate for submission
  • Make corrections to applications or plans when requested by Utility company
  • Interact routinely with Sales, Operations and Engineering

Residential Energy Sales Director

This position will monitor critical business KPIs and implement new sales processes, technologies and change across the Sales organization.

Reporting to the President of Operations and Sales, with a dotted line to the President of Construction, this role will have executive visibility with recurring meetings, presentations, and analyses. A significant amount of client interaction and a high degree of professionalism is required.

Qualifications:

ENERGY OPERATIONS MANAGER

Qualifications:

  • Energy industry (solar, storage, backup power) experience highly desired
  • Able to ensure entire team is aligned and focused on company goals
  • Thinks “big picture” on how you can create and implement efficiencies to make it better and easier for your team
  • Excellent people skills, able to manage, motivate and discipline if necessary
  • Management competence (preferably with a couple years of experience)

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a diverse team of 10+ people to achieve performance metrics and outcomes
  • Manage, motivate, and mentor a variety of personnel involved in the installation of solar projects
  • Evaluate, manage, and create the processes, procedures and policies required for the successful completion of a high volume of residential and commercial solar projects
  • Work closely with the sales, engineering, project management, warehouse and installation department to understand the installation volume forecasts and construction scheduling
  • Analyze performance data to eliminate bottlenecks and ensure optimal performance
  • Identify process improvement and root cause analysis to reduce cycle times, improve client experiences and facilitate complexity to make field operations simpler
  • Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, customer service, and productivity throughout the organization and ensure that best practices are consistently applied throughout operations
  • Ensure that every member of the team receives the proper operations and safety training and equipment applicable to their position
  • Work to ensure that we are delivering an excellent customer experience and escalate customer concerns as necessary
  • Resolve account escalations quickly and provide a high-quality resolution for customers
  • Manage technical reviews and project management functions
  • Oversee NEM (Net Metering) and interconnections for commercial and residential projects
  • Coordinate permitting, inspections, service, engineering, equipment procurement, warehouse management, and construction scheduling
  • Coordinate with accounting and legal on projects
  • Evaluate employee job performance and provide regular coaching

SOLAR INSTALLER

The Solar Installer installs all photovoltaic system components and electrical equipment, ensures the successful operation of a complete photovoltaic system, and communicates project status with Project and Construction Managers.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience installing solar systems, in addition to electrical and roofing experience.
  • Knowledgeable of OHSA safety compliance requirements and regulations.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.

Physical Demands:

Solar Maintenance Technician

DC Solar Electric, Inc. a Division of the Stevens Family Companies, has an opportunity for a Solar Maintenance Technician. The Solar Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventative and corrective solar maintenance, system commissioning, troubleshooting, and generally maintaining customer-owned and company solar assets. This position is responsible for managing time and resources so that customers are serviced promptly and effectively. This position will report to the VP of Construction and will require a high degree of professionalism/client interaction.
 
As a Solar Maintenance Technician, you will:
  • Handle electrical troubleshooting.
  • Complete initial commissioning and startup of commercial PV projects.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on commercial PV systems.
  • Replace components of residential and commercial PV systems.
    • Inverters
    • Panels
    • Batteries
  • Perform generator preventative maintenance and generator repair.
  • Perform site & project inspection.
  • Do module cleaning.

Experience/Qualifications/Education:

  • 2+ years of Residential and/or Commercial PV system installation.
  • PV installations, design/engineering experience and solar system troubleshooting a plus.
  • Generator service experience is a plus.
  • Experience working on commercial construction projects.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Detail-oriented and consistent with follow-through.
  • Clean driving record and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work in inclement weather.
  • Safety-minded and follows OSHA guidelines.
  • Strong understanding of electrical theory and applications.
  • Knowledge of NEC, UBC and other building codes.
  • Ability to innovate and improve operations and solve complex problems.
  • High integrity, positive attitude, strong organizational and customer service skills.
  • NABCEP, IR certification, and PV manufacturer O&M certifications are a plus.
